good morning everyone wow that was well yes all right a good trip here quick hands up who here came from unique okay hands down Lou here came from within Bavaria that's less further away okay not from Germany nice not from Europe are you taking a picture in your hand okay um real quick introduction my name is Fredrik I'm one of the site's organizers as you can see by me rather rather high red shirt a little red yeah so quick introduction for those of you who have never been to Ibiza actually who has never been to a few slides Wow okay you're in for a treat yeah quick story my first East Side's was a while ago and it was in London so

I didn't know anyone there I was quite a bit afraid like going to my first conference going to a conference in a country I've never been to in a city I've never been to and I don't know a single person and it took like 10 minutes and I felt at home which was awesome and actually that is exactly what East Side's is all about bringing the community together meeting you people asking questions sharing ideas that is like the idea of b-sides so that is what you should be doing here once I got back from from London I was looking for something similar here and I found the most sec meet-up which is a local meetup ooh which is like basically the

same thing only smaller and on your regular basis so you can't wait for besides 2018 at the end of the day yeah take a look at that so the good people of MOOCs like helped me hopefully help the good people most like to bring these sides here today and so we sort of managed to to get our dream of making b-sides happening in Munich right so that's why here today yeah bringing people together together can only work if every one of them no sorry each and every one of you participates so please do don't just sit back and relax and enjoy the show try to actually be part of it like like I said ask questions share your ideas

that sort of thing okay before we begin every besides organizer ever will tell you that organizing AV sizes how lot of work and I actually couldn't quite imagine how much were you actually so I'm here to tell you again it is a lot of work don't be discouraged through it all there's also a lot of fun so if you want to help thanks dear be my guest we only always looking for people who can help us out they're always looking for people to have a great ideas for the next the next besides right so since there's a lot of work we want this to be a great event we put a lot of a lot of sweat into that

but we wanted to be a great event so please follow the code of conduct if you haven't read it it's on the website if you don't want to go on the website it says in essence be excellent to each other or get the [ __ ] out it's pretty simple and we have one other rule please don't act [ __ ] at the venue people at my office calm we're really nice to us even after we told them that about 80 hackers commercial so please return the favor and don't destroy their stuff right I think that's about it last thing to do is thank the people who make this happen or is that the organizers obviously but

more importantly I want to thank all the speakers who submitted their their contents that taught their workshops and not just the speakers who actually showed up today because we selected them all so all of the speakers that works like that because these submissions we're like we had a lot of submissions and they were really great and we had a hard time picking those it's not like we said we just want to do it once and [ __ ] the rest they were all pretty awesome and there were a couple of ones that didn't make it that I still wanted to see so we hopefully can can get them next year or at least may make more room

for more speakers next year right special thanks to Cooper he's standing over there he put his free time and also his personal gear towards this cause and he is recording all of the videos all of the talks which will be uploaded later so thanks to them we have special thanks also to our sponsors not because they're paying for this which is great but special things because they really showed interest in science music it's not like yeah we want to have our logo on the wall and here's some money how they they were really interested in making a slice happen that's something that I think is this not the norm and that is great so thanks to sponsors you

can see them here there is also a breakout room a bit more stuff by these sponsors Flyers and stickers and stuff like that so check that out if you don't have it in your bags yeah thanks to the community sponsors which means like hammer sides besides Vienna and we consider you a community sponsor sort of because they just helped us out whenever possible and that may be easier for us to - yeah make this happen and of course all of you for actually showing up there's nothing worth than planning it worse than planning a baby-sized for a vent and I'm like two people show up out of 100 so it's awesome that you're all here and I

hope we all have a good time on a great day one more note is at the end of the day at the closing ceremony we're gonna hand out a link for a questionnaire basically a short survey which you can all fill out to tell house one was awesome what wasn't what you do better next time and everybody who fills out the survey will get a chance on early bird tickets next year so you get a hands up when the when the first batch of takers arrive so it's easier for you to grab your ticket next year right with that thank you all
