faster okay we're really starting welcome i'm very happy to be here true so um while we are here um [Music] we started as a group and we thought that there was the need and the possibility for barcelona to host an international conference about security about privacy and so here we are we had about this is the first time that we do this and we had about i think 50 good submissions from all over the world yep it was great actually to have you know so many submissions so it gave us a great pull for you to pick it up you know the the best ones for the for the conference so i said we started as a meetup group

and um i think two years ago more or less we're doing meetups every month we're trying to build a community in barcelona to promote cyber security to promote privacy to promote all these topics and that we thought there was a need for that were not really covered in the barcelona tech scene and now with the uh with the people that has actually collaborated with this conference we want to say thanks you know to the uh to everyone who has given his help on doing this work so the the first ones that we want to say thanks is to the people who collaborated to review the papers and it was a um a big group you know people from

different industries and different companies that helped us to uh to get the uh the talks that you're gonna see today right um the next one so this venue and everything that you're gonna see today couldn't be possible without the our sponsor so i mean it's a huge group in there we were really impressive we call like skyscanner critical stack typhon simplest blue leaf background tines pentas slab binary ninja pentas academy i know zero so it's a huge huge amount of the companies that decided to back us up and we are really impressive with that i mean this is also a learning experience for for ourselves as well i mean you see changes kind of in price you know for

the for the decades as well i mean we didn't expect you know so many companies they came at the end as well so that's why we made those changes so i mean we're really impressed that you know those companies wanted to uh to help us you know to build this the this conference right um also a big thanks for the people that is actually helping to to get this done which is the stuff because they

today i mean you will see in the in the back of the teasers um also we want to say thanks to albert pradel i mean you he's not in here today he couldn't attend to the to the conference but actually he's our lawyer and you'll see okay you know you say thanks to your lawyer but i mean the um here in spain there is a lot of bureaucracy you know just to found a uh i know a non-profit association as we are right so it takes you know a lot of work you know going to the registry going to a sienna you know more paperwork so it's been like a pain really for us to get that done and he's

just helping you know the house to you to get there so a big shout you know for him and for helping us to get there yeah so we said we are a group and we started as a group and we care about the community in cyber security so part of the money that we received from sponsors we are giving back to these organizations is edri is the european digital rights initiative it's like the european eff if you don't know them weltor and the return frontier foundation so uh we are donating back some of the money that we got to this organization and it's our way to say that these topics are important for everyone and we

want to help organizations that do a lot of work we have a great agenda for today um it's pretty full of uh great talks and topics um we are going with two talks now then coffee break two talks lunch and three talks coffee break and then we have two more talks and closing remarks and giveaways um i hope you have fun and this in the end is about sharing knowledge and having fun and meeting each other and growing the barcelona cyber security community i mean think about that besides and it's culturalized to build a community as well so we want to actually help to build this community here in barcelona so take this as an opportunity for doing

networking here as well so i mean there are people you know mostly from the security industry so it's a good opportunity for you to get to know each other so just takes this as an awesome opportunity to to build this community here in barcelona as well right um yeah social networks if you want to share your experience and if you want to get in touch later here you have some links please do um maybe also worth mentioning here that the uh well christian will be doing some draws you know during giveaways during the the conference so we got things from pentester lab and others that we're going to give away the idea is that we're going to be

looking the social media and then looking for the stuff that you are posting in there we are going to give aways to the people that is doing so please also join the slack channels it's not not a the telegram actually the telegram channel because we will also be doing the stuff in there let me just just keep up with the with the conference again we also want to interact with you as much as we can i will give away some cool stuff so just just keep an eye on really yeah sorry we have t-shirts and license and and so on so it's it's gonna be quite cool yeah um i think that's it yeah welcome enjoy
