This video gives you a sneak peak into what makes BSides Edmonton a fabulous event to partipate in - by attending, sponsoring, or speaking. Organized by (ISC)² Alberta Chapter, BSides Edmonton is an annual Cyber Security Conference in the City of Edmonton. Our event is a two-day high-calibre conference focused on all aspects of Cyber Security. You will get 16 CPE points for attending the conference. Security BSides is a community-driven Cyber Security Conference by cybersecurity community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening. BSides events combine security expertise from a variety of platforms in search of the “next big thing” in information security. BSides is an open platform that gives security experts and industry professionals the opportunity to share ideas, insights, and develop longstanding relationships with others in the community. go hi my name is harinder I'm principal security consultant dist FR spous I am the lead organizer for be at Edmonton this was the sixth year uh security conference uh we had some really nice and World known speakers like Cory ball Alicia Knight Jason May good day I'm Martin denell with the the government of Alberta besides is a great great conference to attend for any cyber security specialist it's meeting the people some new students some people who are new to the province sometimes new to the profession and are interested to get into it this is the first time uh we we've attended bides and find it to be a fabulous event it's it's a great

turnout I'm happy to see everybody come out and have some good conversations through the event great event brings the whole Community together where we get to talk to like Minds chat about different Technologies and be part of the community overall it keeps supporting our students and education events like that helping to to build that next generation of uh uh Security Professionals you want to learn a little bit of anything in security you can do it at this event it's a small community that we all live in and working and often we get so busy in our day-to-day that we don't get a chance to do this and bide is I think the organizers at this event

have done an incredibly good job I'm very very grateful for that that this conf confence is now becoming kind of a standard for uh the bside conferences if you want to learn about cyber security come join us in 2024 uh B ADV [Music] mention
