Saturday Opening Remarks

good morning welcome everybody how y'all doing good nice day two day two yes um am I actually looking at the right slide deck one moment I okay I am all right let's try that again uh cool okay so uh as I said yesterday we have a whole bunch on offer today we've got a full schedule of tracks uh both two tracks of talks and workshops as well um three more workshops we've got uh an amazing keynote coming up here very shortly uh and we've got all you people to interact with so that's fantastic uh some of the basic stuff bathrooms are on either side of the main Hole uh here also they're on the second floor as well um talks end at 4 p.m. today uh and the last Workshop actually runs past the closing remarks till 5: uh I'll be here at 4: to talk at you some more briefly uh and then everybody can go home how's that sound uh we do still have a quiet room downstairs on the second floor there's some uh bags that uh PSU provides that has some noise cancelling headphones and fidget Spinners and things like that if anybody needs a breake or wants to look at those uh that room is meant to be kept completely quiet so just uh if you have any sensor processing issues or just need somewhere to chill for a little bit that's a good place to do it uh as I said yesterday uh we have coded lanyards so uh the essential thing to know is that if it's blue it means volunteer if you've got a problem a question a concern uh don't know where you're going don't know what you're doing find somebody with a blue one and we will help you out and our code of conduct is available via that QR code please be good to each other uh I think I already said all of that oh yeah um everything's streaming on the internet too it's being recorded so uh if you miss if you're like oh man I really wish I could go to that talk and that talk that happened at the same time don't worry about it we'll have it up on our YouTube channel later for your review hi internet uh and just some quick thank yous we had over 600 people yesterday which was great uh and without everybody who comes to this and who pays for tickets and so forth we wouldn't be able to offer what is essentially a Free Conference um so thank you very much for your generous support and thank you to our volunteers uh we had a whole bunch of volunteers recently actually yesterday um some of whom were high school students and they were super super happy to be here they had a great time so thanks for making making them feel welcome if you're interested in volunteering with us next year uh starting real soon like not just a week before the con um look for a look for an email from us about uh how we're going to be setting that up for next year and thank you to The Venue staff they've been great wonderful wonderful job uh we had a really really good uh ordures thing last night and uh I think I think everybody had a good time and also how many people did the bowling yeah right on okay that looked like a lot of fun too uh thanks to all of the people on the boards and the staff um Brian Hazel Joe um now I was told last night that I was mispronouncing the next name does anybody know how to say k k thank you okay K Maggie uh me apparently Maran mickeey nimma Robert root killer shady and w and Melinda who did our art uh and finally thank you very much to all of our sponsors including Portland State GitHub Google Northwest veterans in Tech hacker 1 securing Hardware isaka BPM eclips New Relic identity technology no starch Issa and Summit finally we still have a no starch security or no starch press discount code available for everybody it's bspd x23 you can use it until the 22nd of this month for I believe 30% off so do take advantage of that they've been very very generous with us finally this conference is for you this is one of the ways we do this mission that we have to uh to cultivate the Pacific Northwest information security and hacking Community uh so thanks everyone for being here make the most of it have fun enjoy let's give everybody a good Round of Applause for all of the things that we do and now without any further Ado Kimberly [Music] price
