BSIDES CPT 2022 Opening

okay welcome everyone um I'm gonna have to apologize for my voice I left it in London a couple of days ago but also you're not here for me so it's fine um so I'm just gonna do a quick intro give you an idea of today and then I'll head over to intersect to take it from there um just a big thanks to all our sponsors uh intersex card strike tenable utility warehouse Orange the Mobius rated hacks of enclosed GT consults Keith Macan and birdcrack have all been instrumental as well as hack the box and making today happen it's a community-run thing we've done a meeting every week for the whole year to pull this off we had a bit of a

falter in covert and we've always liked doing this live so we really didn't just feel that in cover doing more online stuff was going to work for us so yeah especially to intersect um making this venue happen and for all the swag and just everyone who was involved and made it an absolute Joy this year and yeah we tried to mix it up a bit with a venue and doing a CTF and workshops so if you want to get involved in the CTF we'll have some prizes we'll check at the end of the day it already started at seven um which technically actually is mine yeah sorry seven UTC so I started five minutes ago we have some herbal tea

purple team field manuals and rubber duckies and a bunch of things to give away and also thanks to ve who a lot of you might know she actually also sent us prizes from the north um there is a Discord as well where you can ask for support but for the most part you just go to this link if you want to do the CTF so we also have two workshops so one starting at 11 um and another one sliding at one both of those will be in the area where you did your registration there's a boardroom there that's just where you go it's super simple so you'll see there's a lot of smaller rooms at the lower floors if

you feel like doing CTF if you get overwhelmed if you just want to chill you can go sit there these chairs or fat sacks or whatever um and yeah first floor is food and coffee we'll have coffee again at 11 and 2 30 and then lunch just check the schedule because I just forgot but I think it's between 12 and 1 and then obviously track two and workshops are one floor down and you're in track one right now and then the last thing I'll say is have fun and treat everyone with respect and please don't screw over the Wi-Fi so that things go smoothly thanks and thanks for being here
