so welcome to bides lot of clock it's okay all right I'm your win now so I'm a co-organizer I've been involved with bide since uh 2011 raise your hand if your first timers for bsides really where you been since 2011 come on can you believe this is a 200 ever bid anywhere Jack Daniel just tweeted that out the other day and couple people added on you may have seen it so isn't it a good time to be in the security field that's a little ironic I guess or sarcastic or I don't know depends on the day who here is not in infoset raise your hand if you're not an infos sorry there's jobs for you too

um right now there's about a -3% they say unemployment rate for infosec jobs that means there are thousands of more jobs out there than there are people so thanks for coming to this and uh learning uh those of you that aren't in it probably got a pretty good chance of getting a job and getting in it uh so think about that how many people have open infosec positions on their teams how many have had those positions Keep Your Hands Up on your teams for more than uh two months more than five months more than a year that you haven't filled wow see we need you I have several positions D Kane light check it out I want to thank uh our team these

money and last but not least thank you audience if it wasn't for you we'd be all standing up here looking like idiots presenting to nobody so thank you for coming without all this without all you without all the volunteers the uh wringers the uh sponsors we want to be able to do it quick Logistics and then we'll get started emergency exits who knows where they're at there's one back here there's there's a door there I don't know what happens if you go on outside I don't get to jump over the wall it's only four stories it'll be fine facilities restrooms are back around the corner here there's uh looks like there's lots of guys and a few

women so um there'll probably be a big line for one and not the other it's tight quarters in here it's not super big so you know be nice to each other um well that didn't come across very well that says be respectful with cameras video so there may be people who don't want to be recorded don't want to be photographed don't do it be nice who's going to the Afterparty oh good I order just a right amount of food thanks the Afterparty if you change your mind let us know it's downstairs in um The Beer Market and so for breakfast there's Prairie we bought food from them for lunch we're going to uh get these tables here in a Runway

Style Buffet uh big burritos bringing in a pile of burritos some vegetarian ones some ones with meat um chip salsa and then uh they're coming back again and bringing I don't know sandwiches for 50 people or so and if we run out of food I'm sure one of these sponsors who stood up will probably order some stuff for us right thanks so um that's it for me
