This is the first edition of Bites in Belgium. We're here in Hustled and we're expecting about 220 people and the idea for uh today is actually to build a community around security from a practical point of view and also to have interesting talks. I I presented previously in B sites in Paris and I thought well let's do it again because it will be fun again. In my case it's about also sharing knowledge to other people that are looking for knowledge and bides is a good event to do that. >> As you can see there are many people who are willing to attend the event. Uh we have a very large cyber security community in Belgium and it's always
nice to bring them together to share knowledge to share ideas and that's actually why we're doing it. So we have two talking tracks with a range of discussions about AI security but also governance and risk all kinds of different uh security topics. We also try to combine it with some pleasant things. So we have a very nice lunch provided by the Kora campus and we also have an after party provided by SIA with some drinks and snacks. It's really important also for us to be here because it's an occasion to uh meet the community. I speak about the Belgian approach of cyber security, the institutional approach. >> I talks about how anybody, anybody, even non-technical people can find
vulnerabilities in real applications. Everybody can be a hacker. It's all about the mindset.
Belgium absolutely needed its own B size. There's a lot happening in Belgium. It's got a huge tech space. There's all kinds of exciting activities. There's some great security researchers, engineers, apps tech professionals, everyone here. So to have a community where they can come together, share ideas, learn and exchange and help the new generations coming through
Usually we go to the big conferences and they're all US-based and they're very expensive. This is affordable for everyone uh with local speakers as well as international. So it's a great mix. >> We always say uh cyber security sharing is scaring is very important. So when you have uh talks about different cyber security topics, I think it's very relevant. >> I think it's a great initiative. Um yeah because of this connection uh which is important I think in in our domain >> I'm also excited that there was also a network opportunity now to have a gathering and have a drink together. So I'm also looking forward to to mingle with the other ones. Yeah.
