thank you everyone for coming to the inaugural b-sides basing stoke and thank you for uh putting up with it being a bit of a [ __ ] show with organization yeah um yeah i hope you have an amazing stoke day um there's gonna be yeah we're gonna have fun talks all day um we've got exhibitors in there we've got minty net with his car hacking in a box very cool plus we've got our sponsors we've brought some very cool stuff um like to thank interrupt labs and set quest for putting you know their money where their mouth is and supporting the community on this and making it all possible um you'll be pleased to hear we've also had um oh what's the name of sec sponsored the bar afterwards so you know there's drinks later um lunch will be in dice tower which is that bit over there at 12 quart past 12 whatever the schedule says um the schedule in the booklets is wrong because we had a speaker drop out and we've rejigged stuff so for the most up-to-date one check the website or we've got posters dotted around now that like we've we've fixed um yeah so uh welcome to beijing stoke um there's i was trying to think of what we can actually do to represent basing stoke because all the other b-sides on their badges they have like the skyline or something amazing snow doesn't really have anything and that's why uh we went we went with a duck because i like ducks i wanted to do a duck race but the council said no because of the ongoing bird flu pandemic which is very disappointing but we've got rubber ducks so it's okay um yeah i went on the wikipedia for basingstoke to try and figure out if there's anything of no around basing stoke and it turns out it's actually a very ancient settlement and it's based on a tribe that was called the bazingas and so it's the zynga stoke which is cringy and terrible so yeah thank you for coming along we've got people coming internationally for this conference which is amazing we've got an amazing set of speakers we've got our wonderful keynotes we've got max um yeah and also just because i feel it's obligatory um just want to mention friend who couldn't be here um some of you who used to work with me knowing kyotan um you would have loved this you would have loved the ducks so yeah hand over to max on that depressing note
