BSidesROC 2025 - Closing Remarks

all right we're getting ready to wrap it up for the day so who here learns something today outstanding I hope I hope everybody learned a little something right my my dad always said if you walk out an event and you have at least one new thing that you learn that's a gold nugget and you have a win for a day so I'm hoping y'all have at least one gold nugget I don't have a ton to say we have some prizes to give away we've got some CTF winners to announce um I only have a few things I need to bring up our sponsors again without our sponsors this event does not happen [Applause] so so thank you to Black Hill Hills

with that I'm going to bring up meta CF to talk about CTF winners oh it's not you okay all right anybody else maybe says what oh well yes that they were giv them out anybody else maybe all right we'll hold on to it and see if anyone else claims it all right thank you um thank you everybody who participated in our Capture the Flag competition um we had over 70 participants a lot of teams over a thousand flags were submitted um so it was pretty pretty close competition um I'm going to announce the top three teams um starting with third um if you are on that team please come up and I'm going to give you a challenge coin um

after this I'm also going to send out a form probably to maybe top top eight teams or so to ask you to pick your prizes because we have a bunch of training prizes a bunch of you know vendors offering training and so um you you'll get to pick what you want um so let me see you want to connect up no I'll just put it here I just need something just need a hand okay I think I'm good gonna to connect let's see all right so in third place um it was a oneperson team um Joshua can you please come up from team W money congratulations yep in second place we have Team vandals from RIT with te Dino and
