hello my name is Irene anthe I'm a second year PhD student in Cardiff University in UK I'm also a business associate in Airbus so I get to work with industrial control systems as well as Internet of Things my research revolves around creating an intrusion detection system which is intelligent so we use deep learning techniques to build that and detect mainly wireless network attacks we hope that this will work variety but also for industrial control systems so its complexity is very big I was a next speaker in besides Athens last year and I really enjoyed the conference because it's hands-on and it's not boring at all you actually get to learn stuff I also got very very good

and helpful feedback on my work from people that come from the industry and they're up to date with all the stuff because when you work in academia obviously people are more theoretical but here you actually get to expose your work and yourself to people that work on the field every day so apart from learning things and it being interesting you also get to share your knowledge and of course network with people in the community it's a very interesting conference I mean I flew all the way back this year again because the talks seem to be extremely interesting actually a missus at the workshop which was dedicated on i-80 ephemeral exploitation and it's a very specific

topic and it's quite difficult to get a course like that out of the out of the blue so I expect that the conference and the community will keep growing obviously the need for cyber security experts keeps growing as well so yeah I expect to see more and more people
