thank you guys for hanging around for the last little bit to add litoris gonna say a few words say a few thanks give away a few prizes who's enjoy themselves [Applause] [Music] Trillian I personally I think it's the best one we've had so far maybe I just can't remember the other ones that they faded faded the mists of time but he has been a great date there's been some amazing talks I've been buried in this corner on track one and talks I've seen in here have been brilliant I've heard some good things about track two three and four some great rookie talks and the good thing is with video tomorrow so thanks to Cooper who is right on cue so
Cooper Cooper just travels the world filming things especially hacker conferences so he travels from Holland to get here today this week didn't you yeah and where you going next Singapore so Global globe-trotting cameraman extraordinaire he does all this for free he brings all this equipment he goes to all these acha conferences he wrote seen a load of volunteers to help me you don't actually do anybody do you you just so this is so it's brilliant and if anyone saw our talks from last year with our YouTube channel we'll be adding although all these talks on in the next few weeks we'll tweet them out we'll put on Facebook will link them on our website and so any any talks you missed
you'll be able to go and see them so let's see okay so thanks to the sponsors so they're all flying offline by but we're gonna we're gonna read them all out because we we can't possibly put this event on for free without these guys so thanks to NCC who are plasma sponsors supported us from the start our girls sponsors Gotham digital efecto Netta tube ports Widger co-op Nets Barca and positive technologies and an annoyed part as I've been told they are not new part I new for this year and there are the guys who provided the coffee breaks so it's a thanks to all them we've also got our community sponsors we're not going to I'm going to read all those out but
these are all people who kind of help him drive the security industry forward a lot of them are local to - to Manchester and it's great just to have these guys kind of on board so I'm so thanks to our sponsors and whilst we're on our sponsors a few of them have you visited their stands have been running challenges and competitions so positive technologies were offering a flying car little one rather than a real one but they've already drawn that and given out and it was won by someone called Lee Martin so congratulations Lee a vecto were had a kind of a safe key kind of challenge it's more from a vet to want to give a
prize away or anything like that gonna come down and announce who it was [Music] [Applause]
so it's good timing actually because Ian's gonna give away the NCC what it's all to do with the prizes in so this was won by Ray and Eric from SecureWorks [Music] [Applause] you can be make you can maybe guess by the accents that they've traveled a long way to be here and now they have Sam they're going to have to get some extra luggage excellent so we'll see you on the news shortly then here flying in from a hacker conference with their with equipment brilliant and so as we mentioned the sponsors so you know that they're the people who make it happen and if you think your company could help I would get enough to get involved then
go and twist their arm tell them how awesome is tell them that for not a lot of money they can get a lot of exposure they can help the community they can work with the kind of grassroots they can engage with some great people who attend and they can recruit and try and recruit I'm sure we've all been been recruited several times today and if the if they want to get involved then give them to contact as good on the website we have a sponsor pack on there we will put a new one on there for next year there's an email address email us and we'll we'll talk to you about what we can do how we can work together as I
said it's not a it's not a cheap event to put on and our sponsors helpers we did set up a PayPal thing where we serve a PayPal so if anybody feels the urge to donate a small amount to us to - last time I looked it was just you [Applause] I think it was a pound before PayPal took that go well anyway ever so anyway funny but anyone feels inclined go to the website you can have a look we would appreciate that it will go towards funding next year's event so thank you a few more thanks major thanks to the speakers I mentioned how awesome the talks were and they've really were and these guys some we've got some kind of
world-renowned names there all the way through to some rookies who are giving their first talks and we really appreciate you guys doing it we don't pay them anything we don't give them any expenses and we don't pay for their train with epiphany hotels or anything like that they all do out of the goodness of their own heart and and some of them flying for America so we a few guys flying for America and Cape Town and places like that hopefully your companies are paying for that expensive knit back but we really appreciate that I need to see it just goes to show the kind of exposure that be size Manchester's getting and the respect is
getting the people are prepared to fly in so that's that's great we'd like to thank the volunteers so anybody who's wearing a yellow t-shirt I did see some guy who in a yellow t-shirt who was just a PUD so here he's probably going a lot hustle but anyway everyone except him we thank all them the volunteers [Applause]
slightly self-indulgent I'm going to thank the organizers so there's dirt there's light there's Rick that's gap and there's dom these are the guys who have who've worked Matt oh yeah you might might be when he gets back and can I just do a special thanks this really wouldn't happen without Mike Marco here he's not even actually a monkey you knees from Yorkshire but so so mark is the driving force behind this in all honesty wouldn't happen without mark so special super thanks tomorrow [Applause] and he's fine his drinks like well we've got the cab the cards behind the bar for a little while so so so yeah thanks thanks to everyone who's out to organize
it there is the option to get involved as well so me and Lloyd and Matt and started it these guys have got involved this year some people have helped to the previous year's um we're open to we're open to volunteers who are prepared to put a bit of time in a bit of commitment and you don't need to be you don't need to be a cybersecurity expert or anything like that you know we've got marketing uh people who could do marketing people who've just well-connected people who are good at finance and and all these kind of things you know we have to run we have to submit accounts and we have to create marketing material and we have
to write websites and there's a lot of it going in super organized people who you know be really good people have got lots of time on the hands and would be useful here yeah super organized would be good yeah so if any wants to get involved again go to the website you've got a Twitter handle you know you can find an email address emails talk to the pub or try and convince you of how much fun is and then we're gonna decide what they want to do it again next year or not anyone what anyone suggest we do yeah yeah yeah I'm sure we will do something next year survey yes yeah we will send out survey it'll be survey
monkey over the next few days it's your way of influencing what we do so and what we've done and so ability to make suggestions and give us a direction you think it should should go in failing that we're all be in the pulpit and you can chew our ears off and tell us what we're doing wrong what we've done right and how we can make it better so with that I think we're done we would like to crowdsource tidying up the place so if you've got a cup or a mug or something like that that we can throw away we've been back there as many as we can get to the pub quicker on everyone else over
the park to a place called the footage six o'clock and the borrowed
