the delay morning everyone I hope you can hear me all right yeah yeah yeah yeah you can hear me right can can you hear me in the other room yay uh you should be able to see the screen we should be broadcasting it across the two rooms so I hope all of you are here and can hear me fine I I'll be honest I I I like to tell you I remembered the whole order of my slides I don't so let's just run through them um it's it's kind of simple as that welcome to besides London it's lovely to have you here we are in a new venue and it's amazing um this this year themes is celebrating

30 years of the worldwide web um debatable on vist States and what not if you look in the brocher whoever got it and if not there's a link for the electronic copy in the slides um you can read about the certain article and and figure out what you want to establish about when this is written or released or what not but it's still 30 years um I I wrote it they gave us full some some new tools to play with and and you know it changed it changed my life for sure I hope it changed all of yours and the whole point of bides and the whole point that we here and the whole AOS of

bite as it's in the screen behind me is to be here to bring everyone together right to connect us to get us to talk to get us to share to get us to be nice to each other um so there will be a few slides like this with the schedule with QR codes there will be a slide with a brochure if you want it grab a picture there also distributed across the building um just just to make life easier outside each room outside each room lots of QR codes around have fun um this is an epic Slide by the way I like it sh that logo on the side any work Brian made that slide hey uh some

housekeeping CU it's very very important so this is the maps of the venue we are now on the my screen on the right yours as well on the top floor the red circles represent the bathrooms just so everyone we know where to find them in this one in this Flo tricky you need to go to the left my left oh it moved it was there honestly at 3 at 1:00 in the morning it was it was where the toilet are um should you be able to see my cursor it's there sorry I can't edit it now please don't use that area uh use use the appropriate facilities that's what we're trying to say um emergency exit I signed like in

any other venue that you've been in the UK If you haven't been in the UK before they're usually in green follow everyone else don't run and hopefully we don't need to evacuate the place the property itself going to look after us so listen to the instructions for them in case of emergency um a [ __ ] I said last night at the bar we all have a [ __ ] and and where's l oh he probably he probably sitting downstairs so maybe he cannot hear me but he didn't like it we have a code of conduct you here so you you know about it you're accepting it please be nice right that's the whole point of

today we're here to have fun we're here to maybe learn something maybe get drunk maybe meet some someone new I I really don't know but I really hope you'll have fun that's kind of segueing me to without further Ado to some of the [ __ ] Vision that exist around bides I really wanted to be on track one really wanted to be on track one um I didn't plan for this so sorry um this year we're going to raise money for cancer research some of you know I have very ongoing story with cancer family friends lots of friends lot of good friends um some are sick some are along with us some are good better which

is amazing so we're going to raise money for cancer research we have a stick stool we're going to do Raffles there's tons of prizes lots of fun things to do um specifically most specifically for those of you who don't know Thomas who usually with us is going to k um and we hope you get that and we really really really looking forward to having here on stage next year like if nothing happened [Music] but minet in carking village is going through treatment as we speak um for those of you who who don't know my ink Mak Track Mike is a very very good friend of mine he is not longer with us Sly um as I said it touches me on

various levels so for those who don't know here and I I'll share it openly my wife been through cancer I'm very fortunate she is still around um and and I'll take that moment to say if you have something weird go and check it and you have a long cough go and see your doctor some new lump arrive is's nothing wrong with it it's a lot better to find it as soon as you can and then be with us and come back again next year because that's the whole point sorry about that the the waters I didn't I didn't plant for this but so later on I have I have more slides Brian Brian was [ __ ] worried that

and and seriously these guys are fantastic you don't know but they roed up in here at 3:00 in the morning I was supposed to meet them at 3: someone over slept I didn't hear the alarm there was an alarm but they they made all the setup in this when it comes to AV video cables Powers all them from 3:00 in the morning today for us to have an event so I'd like to give them a big round of applause and all of us spons together if that's all right everyone on the

room cuz as I said we can't do it without them I mean me and Brian can chip in a little bit but it doesn't cover schedule guys you didn't get it we have a lot of things today so rather than do oh it looks like [ __ ] um sorry I I I I knew there going to be issues with black and white te and what not but hey only live ones we have lots of things happening today I'll I'll try and cover all of them Brian will be here to put me right for everything I missed so we have lots of villages they are mostly downstairs exception is the battle bot we put them in the mean in

right I should have gone to the floors with the maps first right we have three floors in the venue we'll get to that later on sorry for the jog but this is the first floor where all the talks are happening some of the workshops are happening in here the rookie track is in the corner three workshops room in here underneath us there's more this is the mean floor there's a couple of more workshops in there the battle boats are there and uh if the speaker sitting in here your green room is going to be over there if you want to work on your slides uh kindly looked after you by security blue team the quiet room is also in the mees

floor nicely all the way at the end there are scientists there are people with besides London beautiful T-shirt with the logo that mod design um and sadly couldn't be with us today he was supposed to talk at track one and and at the basement level as most of you seen when you walked in this is our reception area this is our sponsor area this is where most of the other Villages sit so we have a train hiking Village run by pit hack for food we have the lock pinking village with a lot of names that I will not remember they are in the brochure we have Terry we have brick we have Tim and we have John and I don't

think I missed anyone but I could have so apologies if I have these guys are amazing I love them daily and on the side next to them we have Dave Roger that brought his car rig and some of the car hicking Village from Ian from in so go and say hi to them we having the rookie Tru like every year it's on the corner it's going to be amazing I actually cannot wait to go and see some of these stocks if by any chance I'll get i'll get a moment let's let's see how the day goes we have the lovely people from anti giving us coffee downstairs I seen you people walk in um giving us coffee down stair uh in the

bar area it's kind of tucked away but once you go to the basement you'll see them and you'll definitely smell their coffee the sponsors have coffee vouches so go and have a talk to them if they like you might give you a free coffee not going anywhere cho cho Choo Cho I said you haven't said much have you Brian Brian had a rough night so uh I haven't mentioned the cup to the flag this year Paul who was amazing helped by Andy who is some there waving his hand um they we have a bid London C the flag like we never had before it's freaking awesome it is amazing there are prizes to be won there is a caveat you

have to be in here at the closing talk when we giving out the prizes if not it goes to the next in line so should you play the capure the flag planned to stay around maybe it's a good time to mention that we have a bar opening late at the basement so you can actually hang around with us we know did we put a tweet out oh so there going to be a tweet out in a minute telling all of you and those who hasn't managed to make it that we have a bar open until 10:00 at night um some of the sponsors said oh we might throw some money behind it so should you

wish to stay in party with us please do that's the whole point and and there will be a Tre going out some point about quarter 10 I have about three minutes to finish so we kind of stay on track uh I talked about the capture the flag I talked about the villages I talked about the process Ruffles so we we supporting cancer research this year as we decided due to all the the tvis and everything that happened with it and and all the [ __ ] stories that comes with with that we going to have stamps for you to go around the vendors get them to stamp you a stamp card and we're going to pull a

winner at the end on the stamp cards we have Brian has an example to show you my lovely assistant for that we are ruffling the Darth Vader Lego bust Darth Vader Lego bust figh H for for for whoever randomly will be chosen of the completed cards we need to find a stick stand when you completed your stamp card hand in hand them into the sticker stands that will be box to collect them in there don't forget to write your name on I left a space for a name/ handle names are easier handle also works again the caveat is you need to be here to claim the prize if not it goes to PO there you go you heard it now

he is dying for one of those I [Music] know we have decided that for those of you who play in the CTF like Tran just told all of you there's prizes for the winners but there's also prizes for the not winners so please go and have fun have a play that's the whole point we are going to be as Fair as we can and we're going to pick some random not top three people and we have some swags for them as well as a giveaway for the sticker stol that we raise money for cancer research the vendors kindly donated [ __ ] tons of stuff so buy lots of ruffle tickets so we can give you all

the stuff we have cuz I really don't have space in the car I bought a how do you call it he's got a hairdressers car there you go I have a hairdressers car besides London boxes like that it lives in my garage I had to take three banners out and put it in the boot and drive them in that's about as much they could fit so yeah I I I there is there is a challenge with Logistics I don't want to take anything home I can't so they are do you remember all of them some of them Brian can tell you some of the prizes for the raffle cuz I honestly so we have uh we have these um mobile

phone cleaners with battery chargers on top two of those we have limited edition Nik air trainers from tenal we have an air monitor from um security and we have um many other things which I can't remember right nowz there's a lot more than that just honestly that ra will be really cool and it's all go charity and we got a card reader which be going to soon so we have a card reader so you can pay by cards to simplify Logistics on the stickers tool they will sell the stickers they will sell the raffle tickets Please give a donate generously it's going for a good cause we will be excited to tell you at the end of the day what was the the

outcome of that here's the link for the Brer it's not it's not the schedule this is the full brochure so and this is the only slide so if you want a copy of the brochure now it's the time to get your phones out see you see how you do it I'm sorry for all of you you have me on your phones got mic need that's probably why right so this is the electronic version of the brochure we printed limited amount of them because we hate seeing them in the beins outside the conference um all the information is there the maps are in the the info and the speakers there it's been absolutely a labor of love for everyone involved

and there's a lot of people involved I to go and stand and say thank you for everyone but it's not the right time so I just want to do a generic thank you before we started first of all to all the volunteers to all the crew to everyone who put the the time in the hours the effort the attention um some people were here raming around we kicked them out at 11: last night there wasn't much to do but the willingness was amazing it will be a lot to do today and it's going to be manic so bear with them and they're nice people so cut them some slack tell them you love them they would

appreciate that right um and and again just a huge thank you for all of you for all of you for coming for all of you who are nice to each other making a community putting up with me on stage rumbling about right and and and and really for I've seen someone send a message like whose idea was it to get everyone waiting in a wet room at 8:00 in the morning who shall we name Anonymous CU it's in in in one of those rooms um it was our idea we're doing it because we bring people together even if they are wet in the rain so amazing that you came I know it's you I didn't want

to say it's Charles right so Charles over there lift your hand complain but he's here even though he complained you didn't come to see me I know that buddy so again thank you all of you for coming have fun hope you enjoyed it if not that Brian is his fault what what have I forgot can I just add one thing obviously this spu's new to us this year obviously the eyac if you have previously been to beze London if you haven't well welcome um this a bit of a learning curve for us this year and so things aren't going to go very well all the time don't be like this they're going to go amazing all the time but um
