Welcome & Opening Remarks

welcome everybody to bides Belfast 2024 here we are [Applause] again so we are so so excited and thank you all so much for being here today and thank you everybody who's going to be listening uh back online later um it's great to see you all um here we go I want to say sorry I want to say a huge thank you to to all of our speakers um we've got some great talks lined up for you today um our volunteers so we've got all of the people in the blue t-shirts are here to help you out today if you need anything so just ask um big shout out to our organizing team who work tirelessly for about nine months of the

year to make sure today runs as smoothly as possible for all of you and this is a Community Conference um for anybody who doesn't know it is completely run on a voluntary basis uh the um by the community for the community but that couldn't be done without our extremely generous sponsors so um please say hi to the sponsors during the day there'll be they'll be sign posted in the brochure around the venue they're up a lot of them are up in exhibition Hall go and chat to them find out what they do um and make it worth their while so that hopefully they'll come back and help us out again next year um there's a couple couple of

Hands-On activities if you're interested the CTF is upstairs through the piano room piano bar and there's the battle bots in the arena as well couple of quick housekeeping notes phones on silent please um as always we we have and we expect uh excellent respectful Behavior inclusivity so if you're chatting in a group try and make sure there's room for somebody to join in um there's no fire drills planned for today however the hotel have told me if a fire alarm go goes off to remain calm stay where you are and there will if it goes off a second time then we follow all of the green green lights to exit out to the front uh and across behind the crown

bar is the um the area you go to um quick reminder for CMA we're talking a lot about hacking today don't hack the Wii please very seriously don't and don't hack other people okay um there is a slight uh variations in the brocher so I'll I'll comment on those later I need to get the details but from the afternoon I think there's some of the timings are slightly wrong uh the after so another thing um for going upstairs if possible if you can use the back stairs which is just out here to the right rather than the front lobby it's better because we've got a lot of people moving up and down so if we can do that as much as

possible that would be great the Afterparty this evening the wrist F that you need to get to the Afterparty are going to be available at the State Street exhibition stall from the afternoon coffee break onwards so don't worry about them until then afternoon coffee break onwards and we'll remind you about that so all right right so without further Ado I have the absolute pleasure of welcoming Holly Grace Williams uh when I think of Holly I think of her podcast hacked off and your Amazing Outdoor Adventures that I follow so here you go over to you woo thank you everybody
