Sandep good evening happy to have you here in Bside security conference 2024 edition a very quick introduction about yourself sure uh thank you Ram uh for having me here and myself sep I represent RIS as a director uh for the cyber security and data privacy I look after the the global operations today awesome so uh sep tell me uh in your experience how the cyber threats scape has evolved in today's times Yeah. Uh now since the digital transformation took place for a couple of years now every uh business uh which is relevant to the IT and nonIT industry is become as a ITdriven and now since the IT driven is more uh uh approachable and the business enabler and now uh the

industry eventually the the threats became a global centric. Now we talk about the uh IoT breaches and identity breaches and uh fishing. So there are so many ways that we are seeing today as a possibilities of getting breaches and threat the landscape is getting evolved. Okay. Though we are trying to secure as a zero trust and many things that we approach but there are other ways there people are trying to get in. Okay good. uh any thoughts on the flavor of the season genai and its use cases to enhance cyber defense? Uh of course uh the way it is getting evolved uh is uh day by day getting matured. Uh it's uh not uh not only on the product

development or the uh enabling the IT but it's also getting into the the GRC and the cyber security. So there is something is going to help us definitely. So I'm more like a um positive about the the uh the new technologies giving uh onto the AI enablement and looking forward to have more on the uh kind of a challenges that we have today is a deep fake pictures and images like that and thread detections all that automation feeds and then uh uh the reports all that which can help to the uh you know uh to uh enterprises for enabling uh the compliance requirement and advanc features for the detection rather from the you know um we something happen then

we go but the prediction on the something uh and advanced layer of AI much more is better than make us our life else easy. Okay good. Um any uh top three things in your mind to uh improve cyber security? uh yes uh if we look at uh I I'll very generic way that I'll put on uh one thing is uh cyber security is not only for the the people like us and it is for the uh the people generic and people in the industry for the IT and people in the uh the police study that today we have seen so it's for the government it's for the people uh and it's for the enterprise right yeah and

and all the Yes, like wherever you see. So the the uh the more uh we are seeing that the more enabling towards the security is zero trust and data protection and uh and uh enforcing more compliances responsibility creates to ensure that the individual's data is protected the national data is protected uh so forth. Good. I think today cyber security has evolved as a dig life skill more of a digital skill. It's not just for security professionals or IT professionals alone. Right. Good. Okay. Uh before I let you go, one question on today's uh conference. How do you feel? Uh any takeaways or learnings from today's conference? Uh of course. Uh uh this is one of the the best event that

I've been so far. Uh it touches my uh heart because of the people you see today. We have seen from the government of India participation and we have seen the the police participation from the cyber uh side and we have seen lot of the senior folks from the industry in different various uh uh domains and the business areas and then most importantly from the students. Okay. Right. So the collaboration of this all the it's only besides which made it possible.
