wow okay um so hi my name is Pablo um my last name is picazo yes like the arst I know my parents did that on purpose um for me art is not my passion but I like to say to my friends that don't know me is I like to think hacking is my passion that is my art um this is a big step for me um I am very new to the industry I was the ones that raised my hand saying hey I'm new industry this is a perfect place to start and I think that spe definitely motivated me like okay this is for me to get started um I'm a recent graduate from Sheridan I graduated

August 18th and I did my ceremony what's today Saturday so on Tuesday I got to walk the stage I got to really make my parents proud which is a big big accomplishment coming from a third world country to here now no um basically what this talk is I also Al saw that there were a lot of new hands in the industry um I think what really helped me get into this industry was podcasts and not just podcast but also a club a club that I had a shared in that taught me about cyber security because when I started I was just a fresh out of the high school computer programmer and I'm like okay I could

code I like coding video games I like coding like simple mobile apps I'm like oh this is cool um my friend said hey Pablo you should really check out cyber security course it's called the information system security out they have a club I'm like you know what sure why not and then I saw a glimpse of myself here when I did I saw four years ago when I started this program I saw someone with no from little to no experience in a room full of fourth year and alumni and now for me it's a young industry professional in a room full of a bunch of Industry professionals so I can see myself for years AG like hey

Pablo keep your chin up you're going to make it so I have to give a huge thank to that club and podcast because if it wasn't for those podcasts educating me and obviously my classmates and my friends like pushing me to go forward I wasn't able I wouldn't be able to be where I am right now and I definitely think that this step right here where I am right now talking to a few of you guys um is definitely a huge place for me to start my career and if you're looking for somewhere to start and don't know where to go for me I have to give a huge shout out to the podcast um the one

I really like the most is dark net Diaries if you know what those are yeah so you know reced um every time I drove to school it was like a 25 30 minute commute if there was traffic every day I would play it before I go to class listen to every single episode um to keep me motivated to keep myself learning I was able to get exposure from the red team the Blue Team incident response every little bit of cyber security because with this industry we all aware that it's endless so no matter what we do we're going to constantly keep learning and growing and that's one of the main reasons why I wanted to do

this career um but yes thank you so much for listening um that's all I got for you guys
