We were supposed to start at 10:00 past 9:00 but despite any efforts that we did to be on time, you can see I'm still sleeping. So I think next year we should start at 10:00. So welcome, thank you for being here. We're gonna be something like 250 people today. So welcome to Security B-Side Athens. This is the second Security B-Side in Greece, in Athens. We've done a lot of work to make sure that it's gonna run smoothly this year once again. We have Wi-Fi. The SSID of the Wi-Fi is also the password for the Wi-Fi. This is me, so any complaints about the conference, I'm the one responsible, so make sure that you let me know if there is any problems.
This year we had a nice t-shirt logo competition, so we have a really nice logo for the t-shirts. This is the team where we are growing, we are getting more people involved. This is the team that is making things happen, expecting more people to join us basically, making this event bigger and bigger and bigger. This is the logo for this year and one of the dessert logos for the year is issued here. A few things, our Twitter, please follow the websites, basically retweet and make a Twitter
Let's make a nice presence on Twitter today. We have our mobile apps where you can find the tracks, the track schedule and the information about the venue. A couple of rules before we start: Please respect each other. There is a code of ethics on the website. Please participate. There are a lot of technical individuals from the event, so talk to each other. If you haven't done so, please mute your devices. Be professional, respect the venue, respect the Wi-Fi, it's not ours. and if you can please keep things tidy. If you have any issues, if you have any problems, you can help us at www.ladioblade.com and we will sort it out, we will try to do our best.
If you have any suggestions, please email us at our feedback email and we will have a feedback form as well at the end. Our sponsors for this year, 12SEC, based here in Greece, they offer security services. Again, very well known in Greece, offering security services. We have Invinisec and Neurosoft. Again, Invinisec is based in London and Neurosoft is based in Greece. Again, a very well-known and established cybersecurity company. And I think they have a very important announcement for you guys today. TidusKey. It's penetration testing certification. It's the body that does the assessments. It's an independent assessment. So you do your exams at the university compared to anything else that is basically commercial. O'Reilly. We got O'Reilly to sponsor us with a bunch of books basically so we
have a game basically and if you win you get a book which is good and we have also a big crowd who sponsored us Raspberry Pi so we have the cpf and anyone who wins the cpf you're gonna have a draw at the end it's gonna be done or something else which i'll tell you about. After Party sponsor so we have a sponsor for the after party who has giving us money to have an open bar so you can join us at 6 o'clock and you can start drinking and we made sure that we have so much to drink that you can rent some kind of hotel nearby for a lot of people to come. So thank you Nelson for that. So we have our community sponsors, our community
supporters. We've got a few more this year which is great. Besides London, Thomas actually here is speaking, yeah there he is. Besides Manchester for a phone call, one of the greatest and most well-known hacking conferences in London, basically. The universities here in Greece, Yale and Piraeus, and the Ionio University. Besides Amsterdam, so if you want to go to another besides, you can come to Amsterdam. The ISE Hellenic Chapter, Piraeus, where professionals and well-established experts are studying and using and you can pay, you can learn. Then Self-Control, a program for AV basically invasion written by a Greek guy. I don't know if you know this guy but they've done some really cool stuff and videos online so check them out
on the website. ROG X which they have the Hideo device and basically we've got two Hideo devices. It's a hard computer for hardware hacking and you can build your own computer in a credit card site. So we have two of those. They're limited edition and we're gonna give them out Cyber security in Bloc, General Staff, the military and General Staff in Greece, besides events in the University of Papua New Zealand and the University of South Wales in the UK. Yes, capsule the flag. For the CTF we go to track 2, sorry, to track 3, the room next to us. You can go play with your laptops. We're gonna have two terminals there. If you don't have a laptop, you can still go there. Sit down in one of the
terminals and play and try to hack it. It's a unification of a CTM. So you need... There is a scenario and everything. So the guy who lets you know it's gonna be really fun. It's from the ethical. It's educational. It's from the ethical point of view. So you're the security professional and you have been given permission and were asked to help by hacking a smart safe. There's a whole scenario behind it. So it's really cool. And you have the price. The treasure hunt, this is the URL for the treasure hunt. It's something that everybody can do. It does need to know a few things about info security basically. If you don't know the answers, Google is your friend. So
if you can't find the answer, basically you can... We asked you though, we did a lot of... We made an effort to gather some money and to give people access to it. by donating some money for the Smile of the Giant, one of the most well-known charities in Greece and in Europe in general. We managed to gather €150, which is really good. Thank you for the support. We have a few ideas and next year we are going to raise a lot more money for the charity. And this is an announcement, this is a surprise for this year. What we did, we wanted to get involved. So, Greece is a small country and we cannot have a B-Size in every city in Greece.
So what we can do, what we thought about is to build a framework of HackSpaces. So what we did, we bought HackSpace.gr, we're going to give a lot of information, we're going to give tutorials, we're going to give webinars, we're going to give everything, all of the opportunity to learn about to learn about hardware hacking, to learn about programming. So they can join, they can make their own hack space, they can make their own domain, some domain, have their own presence on the internet, people together from all over Greece, Cyprus, everywhere, any person can join. Everyone wants to create a hack space, we give them all the information, play and basically Google, a young age or 90 years old, you see
the hack insights are really bringing to programming. We'll talk about it in more detail at the end. Thank you all for being here. We would like to thank you for supporting this initiative to bring this event in Athens. I think thank you to our volunteers because this is a community sponsored event so everybody is a volunteer basically. Our appreciation to our speakers who have travelled from all over the world to be here. Our sponsors obviously for supporting this wouldn't be able to rank this place if they weren't for them. So please go in the booths. Some sponsors are not there yet, but some of them are. They're gonna be there by the time to... Please visit the booths, learn
what they're doing, see what they're doing, get to know them, get them to know you. You know, maybe they'll be your future employers very soon. And enjoy the day. And a very, very special thanks to Dave Lewis, who is Thank you so much Dave for doing that, for being here. We didn't have to do much to convince you. We found a picture of trying to convince you to come and he said yes after a few minutes. So thank you all for being here. Next presentation is from the Smile of a Child. It's a brief conversation about the Obisteas program and the psychologist, Stephanos Alemidios will need five minutes of your time to introduce him, to give you a quick introduction.
