today I am going to explain about my thesis uh topic and it's about developing cyber security curriculum actual for secondary schools my motivation actually why I am interested in this topic and in this research because I have a personal story because I am working as a lecturer back at my home one day my student came to me and she was absent for three weeks because of she had anxiety and depression that day she told me that her account on Snapchat was hacked and he took every single photo and videos of her and he abused her consequently she had a bad depression and anxiety so she came to me to ask me how how to solve this problem how to do it essentially she had she had hacked because a simple thing she accepted Elegance so after that I came to uh research and I asked myself why my students at 18 years she had hacked and she hasn't know how to solve the problem so recently I noticed that we have a big gap and cyber security awareness and education at their early age and at Young students so my aim is to develop cyber security column and tool for a secondary schools for this motivation also there is a good code from here and she said when you give a knowledge to a child no one will take it from you so what is the problem the problem there are three Mains problems regarding to cyber security education at early age one thing is young people suffered from cyber threats nowadays secondly for curriculum no sufficient curriculum for cyber security around the world thirdly for Workforce there is ongoing shortage around the world for cyber Security Professionals at the University and the organizations so what do you think are the most popular cyber crime faced for children nowadays Mission needs fishings also according to uh statistics from America they said that they reported that there are female cyber crimes best for children nowadays and they they are identity theft hacking and tiger bullying there are three and four identity thefts they told they reported that they came across when they are buying our games and buying stuff from online so for identity theft it's a gift for Crime obtaining a personal or financial information but hacking is acting to exploit a computer system or a private Resort inside computer and for a cyber bullying is a bullying that take place over digital devices including sharing relative content for my students she had a cyber approach and surprisingly among different threats the cyber bullying is the most effective crimes that had children and young people nowadays according to as a Internet safety statistics and United States they reported that every 39 seconds in United States children had cyber bullying around 95 percent and because of the cyber bullying 40 percent especially for girls at age at age 14 to 16 had a depression so for the effects of cyber bullying Dr Sherry she's a psychologist of children she uh reported that when you get a cyber bullying there are five symptoms of effects they will have depression they will have highness they will have humilitation they will be isolation and they will be angry so I came to realize that we have to do something for young children around the world and there my targets are children schools and secondary schools age 13 to 15 in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom so what are my questions for This research how a cyber security address around the world what are the issues of existing cyber security curriculum what is the best approach for developing a curriculum for this part of age from 13 to 15. so cyber security curriculum around the world we can see first of all what does Cyber curriculum mean according to sem Define Cyber curriculum as a Computing based discipline involving technology visible information and the process to enable assured operations my projects I am aware about people and how to use technology and safest way so the compressions I did it in eight countries so the conversions is about the approach age content and hand theoretical evaluation and cyber security principles all the curriculums are a national curriculum so where they take it in the public schools so the age is similar it's bro around 14 to 16. for UK you can see they have two uh approach of teaching in Computing and designing and Technology and use USA they have just computer science and whales they have a new curriculum so they they uh they approach new uh area of teaching design and technology and information and communication technology the main thing for me is to address how children at the secondary school take or educated about cyber security surprisingly you can see at least a three curriculum they just have a few topic or a few lessons about cyber security and they take it as a general and some of teachers they they reported that they even teachers doesn't know how to deliver cyber security to children so they just give them uh the topic as a as a reading or something that it's not important so imagine that in UK and USA they told children cyber security as simple as that so we are not no we are supposed to have a problem at the University students regarding to cyber security so complete complete the comparing conversions we can see Scotland Australia New Zealand Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for the Arab regions so for Scotland just among these countries Scottish curriculum are the best curriculum for teaching cyber security they talk a block period of a curriculum to teaching a student how to uh how to deliver and use cyber security in their life so Australia they don't teach a cyber security at secondary school they teach them at their primary school then in New Zealand as well so in the Arab region we can see no cyber security lessons or knowledge areas and Arab regions so comparing with the west countries and the middle care is we can see cyber security not taught well at the secondary school age so comparing to the West there are lessons for cyber security more than in the Arab West so I am going to deliver a tool to uh split the gap between secondary schools for cyber security at the University lab do you have any question I am going to do this in Wales and isolary so it's quite a few extra curricular website people look at like try hack me immersive apps and they all have a really big focus on the side of hangings right let's not have you found a huge number of websites that focus on the stuff that impacts say your student you know online privacy don't share your password with your friends or those resources yes I have a few resources also but the main problem is also teachers they don't know how to deliver this websites like in America and USA they have a private schools they taught the websites but the students the teachers does they give them as assignments or something not essential all right
