alright everybody wave at me and see if who can hear me alright like first five rows can we turn this up a little bit more can you guys in the back hear me now wave if you can hear me alright i'm getting the next to the last table so i'm going to zoom the people in the back or still asleep that's all right take a nap we're good it's great to have everybody welcome if you're still on the hall and you can hear me feel free to filter on in we're going to get started with some quick announcements first thing i want to say welcome this is your three of b-sides Oklahoma we're really excited to have you our first year we

had about 150 you can see the progression we've obviously jumped up considerably this year we had 526 registered as of yesterday so we're kind of a little bit overwhelmed we were hoping for like 350 so I apologize in advance if there's some lines we're probably going to run out of t-shirts before long but you guys are all here already so that's good if you didn't register if you got in after registration closed yesterday check back after lunch if we still have t-shirts we'll get you taken care of and if we need to if there's a considerable amount and we still have money left over we may try to do another run of t-shirts after the fact so I insisted their soft this

year not like last year's that are kind of hard so they're nice shirts who we are I wanted to give you just a quick little update on on who besides Oklahoma is we're not organized we're just a bunch of volunteers there's about five or six of us that have been meeting every month to get this planned and then for the last month and a half we've been meeting every week we've all got day jobs we're just like you guys we just said hey we want to do something to foster the infosec community in Oklahoma so we put this con on together please forgive us I'm sure we forgot things I've actually found several things I've

forgotten already I make mistakes i'm sure you do once them all too so if you don't heckle me well you can heckle just be gentle about it if you don't mind you can heckle Johnny especially to once he starts talking he likes that but we're all about the community that's our goal is just a foster infosec education participation and really we want to grow the community so the most important thing you can do today and I can't stress this enough meet somebody talk to somebody go to some talks hey down the hall sit down beside somebody you don't know ask them what they do who they are get to know people because the more we know each other the better we'll

all be my wife's texted me I apologize if you heard that all right moving on yesterday we did for the first time this year we had our whole day of training classes did anybody who went to training classes yesterday look at it it's the people in the front row for the most part that's as I like that yeah these people we had a great day of training we had five great classes over 60 students I was blown away with the response to that it was very low cost you know a lot of these training classes normally sell from anywhere from seven or eight hundred to 2500 out in other venues we sold them for 200 bucks or 150 if you

were an Issa or an infra guard member so don't miss next year we're hoping to do bigger and better we'll get those announced a little bit earlier definitely be on the lookout for that some announcements we've got three tracks today if speak of talks going on in the past we've only had two tracks a lot of amazing talks we've got schedules outside the doors we've got some over here over the registration it's also on our website so if you go to bsides ok calm it should be mobile friendly so you should be able to scroll through there and see what's going on what talks click on the talk it'll pop up a description of the talk and that sort of thing we've

also new this year we're doing something different in the past we've had a lot of people pop up and say you know hey I really want to get hands on with this vin de vender I want to see what's going on I want to experiment with their product I don't want to just talk to a sales person so we've set up a vendor demo track it's a just down this hall on the on the left the first door on the left on the hall there's a little sign on the door and we've got scheduled vendor talks so go check out there they paid a little bit for it to be able to do that it's different than all the

other tracks where we don't charge at all it's it's you know we have a CFP process but in there the thing we've insisted is it has to be a technical person it can't be a sales demo it can't be a sales pitch so if you're interested in any of the you can hear me all right how about there sorry all right thank you guys so if you're interested in any of the products that are that are in the technical demo please check those out also down the hall on the far left I realized we missed the sign and so we're getting that printed up now we've got some guys from the College of lock-picking going to be teaching about

lock-picking if you're interested in that they've also got some lockpicks sets for sale and they'll teach you the basics of that lets you play around and experiment it's a great time there's a gentleman who's going to be doing he's got he calls it hacker hired so if you're looking for a job if you just want to brush up your resume if you want some tips and tricks on how to interview he's a social engineering professional that's what he does and so his job is basically to help you learn the tools of social engineering to help you get a better job so definitely check that out and then also from 11 to three we're going to have some students from Cascia

Hall bringing their first lego league robots and they're going to be doing some demonstrations of the programming that they've learned and how their robots work and that kind of stuff so that'll be really cool check that out I don't know how I'm doing on time I apologize to go over Tony we want to say thank you for our vendors they're all listed here these guys make all this happen everything's free today free lunch free t-shirt everything thank our vendors please they make this happen yeah very good thank you

we also have several partners so this started out with a couple of guys in Issa and some other groups about three years ago saying hey I wonder if we can do a conference and we threw the first one together in three months and and Issa there's the the Oklahoma chapter which is technically Tulsa and then the Oklahoma City chapter don't get confused just joined both and then we have monthly meetings in both cities definitely worth joining if you're an infosec professional or if you're assists admin or any type of executive that's interested in infosec monthly meetings great meetings lots of cool stuff and it's a great networking opportunity as well also tech Lahoma how many people are members of tech Lahoma

awesome that's not very many you guys need to join tech Lahoma it's a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to foster and encourage user groups and technical education in Oklahoma it's a great group they've got a slack channel that's very active there's like seven hundred members or so it started out mostly as developers all right can you guys hear me in the back all right we're going to do this and see what happens awesome duel rules what a dork and then also with techno so we are officially a tech lahoma sponsored conference that's awesome 200 ok is another tech lahoma conference and Luke here who's making fun of me with the pictures help helps runs that definitely

check that out it's a mostly developer conference would you say that Luke but they definitely want more people if you have a developer focused hawks anything security wise it would be interested to developers or just anything you want to submit so you can get your name out there go submit to their CFP it's June second and they're looking for more interest that's here in Tulsa correct awesome definitely door prizes we got an awesome collection of door prizes like a thousand bucks or the door prizes out there some amazon gift cards a chromebook a couple of hours we know starter kits and some other cool stuff you got to stay til 545 sorry but that's our that's our way to get everybody to

stay a little bit longer to see the last talks of the day will will do raffle for those speaking of door prizes if you want an extra ticket I don't know what's in the middle of my slide there I apologize but it says if you go to this website besides okay calm / survey you can fill out our survey ideally wait until lunch at least to fill that out but hey if you want to fill it out now that's fine just tell us we did great but tell us how we did give us some feedback and that will help us kind of direct things for next year once you do that it's mobile-friendly once you do that on your phone or your

computer tablet whatever take this to registration desk and show it to them and they'll give you an extra raffle ticket please be honest and fair don't go like every 10 minutes and try to get another one if we catch you then will banish you forever or something I don't know what I was going to say on that so thank you do that I haven't actually told them yet so hopefully I'll try to remember to go tell them about that after this one last thing we're doing recordings of all the tracks we also may have a news crew coming in to do some interviews and recordings and stuff like that if you don't want to be recorded

try not to sit directly in front of a camera if you're a speaker and you don't want to be recorded let us know ahead of time and we'll turn those off our plan is this is our first year to do this we don't know how it's going to work out but if everything works out well our plan is to upload those to youtube so that then they'll be available after the fact and there's a lot of great tracks i know so just pick the one you like best and then hopefully you can watch the rest on video later also with the new screw on that I've told them to ask before they videotape anybody so they

may get like pan of the back of people's heads or whatever but you know hopefully it's my bad if you want to volunteer we could definitely use more help we're looking for people who have some dedication are willing to put in some hard work we've got an amazing group that we've become really close friends we meet once a month via video conference and not video just a phone call and then once it gets a little closer to the con we meet every week or so you can email us besides okay gmail.com you can also provide us feedback if you hate everything we're doing you can put that on there will trash that and then our website on there

should have all the information that's everything you
