The wind was not that bad, not nearly what it looked like in that shot. It also was quite warm. Somewhere around 11 degrees at about 8:30 at night. So it wasn't. There's not quite the blizzard that it sort of is implied later in this part. The only bad thing I sort of got caught on. In this wind shot right here, I had taken a nap from the warmth of the hot fire and didn't close my fly correctly. I set the whole night under about under zero, and I didn't button down the back. So the snow had made its way in and all over about everything in there. Not an ideal way to wake up, getting up.

It gave me some inspiration to move and start the morning. All the wood stayed nicely under a tarp that I did properly set up. So at least I was set on making coffee that morning.
